Aside from having the same name, these two school buildings were nearly identical and were also similar to the West Lafayette High School. The building was demolished in 1989 and the site is now a park with a memorial containing the cornerstones (1905 and 1928) and stone plaques with the name of the school, along with a black granite commemorative plaque.
